“Working with Ms. B has been an incredible experience for our son. She has a unique ability to motivate, paired with a calm, supportive approach. Her ‘gentle pressure’ helped him stay focused, take ownership, and better prioritize his goals. She held him accountable in a way that built confidence, and his performance improved significantly. Our son passed all tests and projects with a clear increase in his grades.
We are truly grateful for her dedication and highly recommend her.”

“A couple of years ago, my sister in law recommended that I get in touch with Rebecca to help my daughter with her college essay. They met a number of times and Rebecca was able to get the wheels turning for my daughter, working together to formulate a winning essay. My daughter is now at UC Berkeley, and I think in large part to Rebecca’s guidance and wisdom. I would not hesitate in hiring her! She will be helping us again this summer with our youngest!”

“I met Ms. Beittel during my senior year of high school, when I was under a lot of stress as I was applying to colleges. Though she was not my English teacher, a peer connected us so she could support me in my college applications, specifically my essays. She went out of her way to meet with me one-on-one to review my essays and offer suggestions. During this meeting, she learned a bit more about me and encouraged me through the stress of college applications. She then provided me with recommendations that significantly improved my essay and helped put my ideas into clear words. Since then, I have graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the #1 HBCU in the nation, North Carolina A&T State University, and I am currently at Duke University pursuing my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. As a first-generation college student, I consider my education extremely important, and I am forever grateful to Ms. Beittel for being part of, supporting, and encouraging my educational endeavors.”

“I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in May 2025 and plan to pursue a master’s degree beginning in Fall 2026. During my senior year of high school, I had the privilege of being taught by Ms. Beittel in English. She played a significant role in developing my writing skills, particularly in proper source citation, scholarly research writing, and creating professional resumes for college and career opportunities. The resume I crafted under her instruction provided a strong foundation for effectively presenting my academic and professional experiences, a format I continue to use and refine today.
More recently, during my gap year, I reached out to Ms. Beittel for assistance with my graduate school personal statements. She advised me to provide the application prompts, deadlines, and a list of the schools to which I was applying. With a quick turnaround, she offered thoughtful feedback to ensure my essays aligned with each program’s requirements and helped improve their clarity and grammar. Her English teaching services and guidance have supported my opportunities and successes across numerous institutions throughout the years, including Sandhills Community College, the University of North Carolina Wilmington, ACME Art Studios, the Rankin Museum of American Heritage, and the University of Edinburgh, where I will be pursuing my master’s degree.
Ms. Beittel has consistently been a reliable and supportive mentor, both during my time as her student and beyond. I highly recommend her tutoring services to any individual seeking to improve their writing skills and achieve their educational goals.”
